Director

Ruchir “Ricky” Patel provides over 15 years of healthcare revenue cycle and healthcare operations expertise within government and non-government healthcare providers. He has specific experience within VHA related to revenue cycle management, EHR implementation support, organizational management and re-design, transformational support, executive leadership support for the Office of Community Care, and value-based care program development, amongst other items.

As a Director at Federal Advisory Partners, Mr. Patel is dedicated to value-added client support, operations, and business development.

Mr. Patel’s previous experiences include providing revenue cycle consulting services at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Additionally, Mr. Patel held many roles at a Medstar Washington Hospital Center, a level 1 acute care, medical center. He initially served as a revenue cycle expert within their finance division, but then transitioned to an internal Process Improvement Consultant. As a Process Improvement Consultant he assisted with the implementation of a hospital-wide patient access call center, led technology driven process improvement initiatives within surgical services, along with improvements within many other administrative and clinical processes while utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools. Finally, Mr. Patel lead the hospitals Orthopaedic Surgery service line which also included leading the service line into a new facility which included a redesign of all operational and business processes.

Mr. Patel has a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt from the Juran Institute. He received his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and has a Masters of Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.
